This past October, Master Peace brought his No More Underground Tour to New York, taking over one of the city’s most infamous intimate venues for a night that felt quite literally electric.
The stop marked his final performance before crossing into Canada, and the weight of that moment translated directly into the room. The crowd reflected how magnetic the performance was where you could see diehard fans shouting every lyric alongside first-time listeners. There was a palpable sense of discovery in the room.
Vfiles: What is a pre show ritual?
Master Peace: Smoking some cigarettes and ummm use the bathroom...

Vfiles: Thats how you aid anxiety?
Master Peace: Yeah and a whiskey & coke - thats my vibe
Vfiles: When did you start making music?
Master Peace: Well I started this project 5 years ago.. 5 years ago properly! Its been not that long but feels long in terms of the full landscape
Vfiles: Who has been your biggest creative role models?
Master Peace: Oooo I'd probably say the 1975 - I would say thats the closest because of the world building and their music and I feel like they just get it

Vfiles: What was the craziest show you've ever performed?
Master Peace: Our last show was pretty insane yeah LA was rowdy
Vfiles: If you could advice to your younger self what would it be?
Master Peace: KEEP ROLLING THE DICE and don't worry about what anyone else thinks mate just go for it
